How to increase the saturation of just one color using Photoshop

Few days ago I’ve had a small conversation with my friend about various, different Photoshop techniques and at some point he asked me:

 

How to increase saturation of just one selected colour and make your subject “pop” of the picture.

 

I told him that it is so simple that he is not going to believe it’s that easy.

It wasn’t the first time someone asked me the exact question so I wrote it down and decided to write a short post about it. Here is two before and after pictures that I took last week at Phoenix park races.

How to photograph motorsport events

Hi there.

My first blog post was planned to be different but this weekends (18th – 19th August) Phoenix Park Motor Races changed my mind.

Myself, maybe even You and I’m sure a lot of other photographers are getting ready for this great to be event. Everyone wants to take fantastic pictures but not everyone is going to be happy with the results.
